Happy Halloween

I have never celebrated Halloween before, as its really not the thing here in Australia, but things seem to be a changing....the kids are going to school in costumes and I have promised them they can go out for a little while tonight trick or treating. They are so excited. It is kind of fun to see.
This card uses the very cute Googly Ghouls stamp set. It is not one I own, but I am very tempted as I think it would make very cute boy cards. And the eyes are the new Googlies, self adhesive googly eyes. A must have item in my book.

Scrappin and cards class

This class may be a little different from my norm. It includes a scrapbook page, cards and a tag. Yes, I finally did a scrapbook page, with a lot of help from Stampin Up of course. So please bring along a photo or two for this class and you can go home with a completed page. Minus journalling, as that sometimes takes a bit of thought.

Most of the bits and pieces for this class come directly from the simply scrappin kit, available in the mini, so it won't take long to complete this, but I am really pleased with the result. Those snowflakes are soooo nice.

And then you can either continue to make another scrapbook page (like the one in the kit) or you can make the three cards and tag. The choice is completely yours.

The Snowflake Season Simply Scrappin' Book is in the current mini catalogue and is available for $16.95, or come along to the class and it will be included in the class fee of $20. A complete bargain. I will need to know numbers for these classes by Thursday the 25th though to enable time to order kits. So if you would like to attend on either Saturday the 27th or Wednesday the 31st, please email me to reserve a spot and a kit for you. If you can not make the class but would still like a kit to complete at home, I am happy to do that too. Just email me at lovemumandme@bigpond.com

Downline meeting

Recently (well, it was probably a month ago), I held a team meeting at my house for my downlines, that's Stampin Up speak for ladies who have joined Stampin Up with me. We had a few laughs, especially when I surprised them with a quiz on the new catalogues, enjoyed some cake, and made some cards. I wanted to use lots of new products on the projects, and these were the outcome. The first card above, uses a new stamp set, with the most beautiful font, called Blooming with Kindness. I have combined that with the new in colour, summer starfruit and a border with a new dazzle marker. I love these, so easy to use and give a lovely shine, especially on dark cardstock. I also shared some tips on getting lovely neat corners when drawing a border.

Then I wanted to use all the in colours and lots of different embossing folders, to create a thankyou card. Its always so handy to have a thankyou card. In the back ground we embossed a flourish with Flowering Flourishes.

I like that this card has so much texture.

To finish with, we had to make a simple christmas card using the new illuminate stamp pad. Now it doesn't show up well in the photograph, but this stamp has a lovely shimmer to it, perfect for xmas. The lacy border was done with the finishing Touches Edgelits.

I always enjoy catching up with my lovely team. Most of them will bring samples of their work along too, to share, which is my favourite part. So much inspiration can be gained by enjoying others work, and I always can't wait to start creating afterwards. My next meeting will be in November, so if you have been thinking about joining, but still have some questions contact me to discuss. You won't regret it.

Freddo pouch

Wouldn't this be perfect for a little girls party. Easy and quick to make, but so cute.
And have you tried these new freddo's.....yum!
I have used the Stampin' Up! two tags die for the pouch and decorated it with the beautiful butterfly die.
Thanks for dropping by.

Another christmas class

I hope you are not bored with christmas things already. I still need more cards and gifts, so I'm still preparing.
The first card we will be making in this class is a shaker card, made really easy with the new shaker frames. This card is actually very shimmery and totally silver and white (although in the photo it looks kind of grey). The entire card is sprayed with white shimmer paint, so lovely for a christmas card.

And then we have a vintage inspired card using the beautiful frame from the Papaya College set. I love it when i can use non christmassy stamps in a christmassy way.

Now onto a few gifts. First up we have this decorated tic tac box. Inside is a poem for either snowman kisses or snowman poop. You can make either depending on your sense of humour. I will have both printed out, so you can choose on the day. I love this little snowman, he's so cute!

And then a lip balm in a decorated folder. Easy and inexpensive to make and suitable for a wide range of ages.

Inside the folder there is space to write a little message.

This class will be held on this Saturday the 13th and Wednesday 24th. Class cost is $20 and is all inclusive. I'll even include the tic tacs and lip balm so you'll have gifts ready to go. Please email me if you would like to attend so I can prepare a kit for you. My email is lovemumandme@bigpond.com
All welcome.

Loving this paper

Yep, loving the natural composition speciality papers. Just perfect for making boxes as its a little bit stronger than the norm. And the doily die will be worn out soon with how much use its getting.

Christmas Ornament

No prizes as to where the inspiration came from for this. It was surprisingly easy to make, but does take a while with all the stamping, cutting and folding.

Not quite right

There is something about this card, that's not quite right...a bit heavy on the colour maybe...oh well. I used raspberry ripple, primrose petal, gumball green and vanilla, with a little champagne glitter paper.
