FINAL DONATION AMOUNT FOR THE AUSTRALIA FLOOD APPEAL

A message from Stampin" Up!...........

In mid-January, we launched the Australia Flood Appeal to help those affected by the Queensland flooding. We are excited to announce that during the appeal, we raised $11,862 AUD from stamp set sales. We are touched that so many of you embraced this campaign--you truly have made a difference in the lives of others. All proceeds will be donated to Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal on behalf of Stampin' Up! demonstrators and customers in Australia and New Zealand.

We greatly appreciate your efforts in this cause. Thank you for lending a helping hand and contributing to Stampin' Up!'s tradition of making a difference!

SAB class - Sat 19th and Wed 23rd Feb

It's Sale-a-bration (SAB) time, and that means free stamps. So for this class I thought I would give you a few ideas on how you could use them.

The first card pictured above uses the beautiful 'Bliss' set. I must confess this is my favourite. I love using this set. It combines some velum and the lovely lace in the mini.

Owls are absolutely huge at them moment, so the 'Punch Bunch' set is a must have for many. This card is simple and uses an easy masking technique for the clouds.

I must confess 'Sweet Summer' did not grab me at first. But after using it I have completely changed my mind. Its lovely to watercolour, and the combinations are quite endless with just what you can stamp with it.

For this very bright easy card I have combined ' Sweet Summer' with 'So happy for you'. I do think it would look better without the addition of the butterfly, but have not had to time to remake.

And to finish a tag using a combination of 'Bliss' and ' Punch Bunch'.

Dates and Time: Saturday 19th at 10.30am and Wednesday 23rd at 10am
Cost: $25 all inclusive. Tools, materials and morning tea
RSVP: As soon as you can. I need numbers to prepare kits, as much notice as you can give me is appreciated.

Simple and bright

I wasn't entirely happy with this card, but didn't have time to remake it. Hopefully Daniel will like it. It was easy to make though and was a good way to use up scraps of paper. It uses Stampin' Up's 'Simple Letters alphabet' die for the letters and Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies for the numbers. The sentiment was one of my recently acquired free sale-a-bration set, available with every $100 purchase.

Happy Valentines Day

Hope you are all having a nice Valentines Day. This is a little book I made using some valentine type colours.

Another giveaway and winners announced

Its such fun to give away stuff. I love it!
So I thought i would give away another free current hostess set from either the main Stampin' Up! catalogue or mini (your choice). To be in the running simply place an order of $100 or more before the end of the month, and on March 1st I"ll announce the winner. You will of course get a free sale-a-bration set with your order too.

The winner of the last hostess set was Pauline de Jong and the winner of the card competition was Robynn Ferguson with her lovely heart card. Congratulations ladies. I have to say the competition was very close as the standard was remarkable. Congratulations to all who brought along a beautiful card, and made it so hard to vote. I think I will have to make it a little harder next time.....

Using up scraps

I really like the "Love Letter" designer papers Stampin Up put out this year. So much in fact that I only have small scraps of it left. In my determination to use these up I made a few of these cards. It also uses a felt flower I cut out sometime last year with the 'blossom party' die and had laying on my desk for ages. I think this die would have to be the most used one I own.
