A traditional card
Sometimes I feel the need to be traditional. Not often, mind you, but sometimes. This card uses Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock. The embossing folder is the new Filigree Frame, and the stamp used is Letterpress Winter and is embossed in Gold. What do you think?

Frosted Tree
I love this colour combo - soft sky, very vanilla, crumb cake and some whisper white. Makes a nice change from red on a christmas card. I have used my favourite and much used tree punch. I am so glad Stampin' Up introduced it this year. I know it will be remain in my collection for years to come. The Frosted Sequins are also a favourite. They are hidden on page 22 of the mini catalogue.

Get your santa on!
What a cool stamp set name - "Get your Santa On'. And what a great set to colour it is. I really loved getting my blendabilities out and giving this fellow some colour. The yellow background was done with the daffodil markers and just gently dabbing on the paper to get a series of dots.

Christmas shaker card
Have I told you I love Bermuda Bay?....probably. Its a beautiful color so right for so many projects, including christmas cards. In this card I teamed it up with crumb cake and shiny gold foil sheets to make a simple shaker card. I have used a mix of incolor, gold and silver sequins and a greeting from Bright and Beautiful.
One of favourite ways to add detail, without cost is to add a embossed border on a card. I think it just finishes it off and only takes a minute to do. Try it on your next creation.

The New Christmas mini had arrived.
I love this time of year, where you still have a ton of time before christmas, but its close enough that you want to get started on your cards. With the new mini catalogue in my possession, I just want to make christmas things all the time. It's an amazing catalogue with so many great new stamp sets with matching dies or punches.
One of the first set of stamps I had on my 'got to have' list was the Wondrous Wreath set, which I have used on this card. The stamps are so versatile and Stampin Up have cleverly designed a simple way to match up the images. I love it. And the dies are to die for. I love the beautiful scripted fonts in the words Joy and Noel, as well as the matching Wreath die complete with ribbon.
If you don't have a copy of the mini yet, and don't already have a demonstrator, contct me and I can get one out to you pronto.
Thanks for sharing a piece of your day with me.

More peacocks
As promised, I have some more peacock cards to share today. First up, a simple white embossed version, decorated with the incolour sequins. I think this is my favourite of all the cards. I just love the colours in the tail.
And I just had to try colouring one with my blendabilities. It took awhile, but was really relaxing to do. Something fun while working away and watching the telly. I often work like this.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit and hope you have enjoyed looking at my perfect peacock creations. All materials to make these are available from my online store. just click on the link at the side.

Peacock Pics
Have you noticed the Perfect Peacock stamp on page 170 of the new catalogue. Its beautiful. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and have a play. I started by casing something Shelli made at last convention. I love how she used the pistachio paint over the typeset paper, and all those shimmery sequins. Wow! Tiny little dots of gold dazzling details fill the center of the sequins so you can't see the hole. Easy and effective.
Then, because I love Tempting Turquoise, I tried the Peacock on that, with some sponging and used the same gold sequins. An easy card, but it does take a while to stick all those sequins on. The 2-way glue pen is a must for this.
I have two more cards to show you which are more stepped up versions of these cards which I will check back later to show you. Stay tuned.
Stay safe and thanks for dropping by.

Poppies
Without any doubt, my favourite new product is the Blendabilities. They are so much fun to colour with, and so easy to use. I thought I would have to give Pleasant Poppies a try and was quite pleased with how it turned out. I used the cherry cobbler and old olive blendabiliites and sponged around the outside with So Saffron and Crumb Cake. Cardstock used is the new Mossy Meadow.

Introducing the new In colours for 2014-2016
Thought I would pop in and show you some simple little handbags I made to showcase the new in colours for this year. I was in love with Blackberry Bliss straight from the word go, but the other colours have taken longer to grow on me. Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow are all lovely colours I am now enjoying using. Did you realise if you buy all five ink pads together you can get a free pack of the matching cardstock. Just order item 133664 for $47.95.

I Definitely Love Lace
I love Lace, is the name of the beautiful stamp used to create this background image. I have embossed it in gold and it makes a lovely tactile surface. I am also loving the new small flower punch. The centers of the flowers are simply a white pearl coloured with new blendabilities. If you havent tried these yet, you need to. They create such rich and vibrant colour on soooo many surfaces.

Fishin' Around
I have always loved the Fishin' Around Stamp - maybe because I have always enjoyed watching fish swim around in their little water worlds. Of course, I just had to purchase the stamp as soon as I saw it, and its the perfect stamp to use with hair gel. Yes hair gel. Just put a small amount in a small zip lock bag and attach behind an opening. Voila! you have squishy water bubbles, perfect for this stamp.

Retiring goodies
Yes, its that time of year again, when we say goodbye to some favourite products from the the catalogue. I have always loved making flowers with the fun flowers die. I don't think it will ever be able to leave my collection.
