Gift Card Gift Box

Have you noticed the Boutique Boxes pack on page 25 of the Seasonal Catalogue? They are the perfect size for a gift card. Also perfect for a small gift like a charm, the Tea Time Trinkets on page 3 to be exact. These boxes only take minutes to assemble, so I can see myself making lots of these. And the die cut doilies in the kit are just sooooo beautiful. I will have to make one up to show you.

This is the closure at the back. Even the foam dimensional dots and twine are included in the kit.

A hidden surprise

Hi ya, how have you been? It's school holidays here, and I am enjoying the break in routine so much. Its just wonderful to be able to sleep in and not have to take the kids to a million things. I love school holidays.
But back to cards....last week I was fortunate enough to attend a downline meeting and make a card with a drop down part made by Belinda Brown. It was so pretty and had lots of butterflies and used these very pretty colours. So I decided to make one and change a few bits to call it my own and this is what eventuated.

I just had to use a designer build a brad. Definitely the best thing since sliced bread!


The best part is this cute little book that opens up when you untie the bow.

I have been having lots of fun playing with the dress up framelits lately. I love how versatile and easy to use they are.

Tea for two anyone

I have been busy of late making Mother's Day gifts, including this matching book and packaging. I have used the beautiful tea for two papers available in the seasonal catty. I love the combo of colours and the look of stitching on this paper. I am a sucker for anything sewing like, even though I rarely sew these days.The box holds some handcream. Why not make your mother a gift this mothers day using your supplies. Its fun and I'm sure any mum would appreciate something hand made.

Mum's Birthday Card

It was Mums birthday last month and we decided to get her a skylight for her hallway as a gift. So my card has a clear skylight in it too. I have used the Secret Garden stamps. These are wonderful to colour, just the right amount of detail without being too fussy.

I know I am a bit late, but Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all had a happy and safe break.

More Artisan Play

Thought I would play around with my artisan kit and see what emerged. The background paper is from the Fan Fair pack. I think it works well with the old fashioned lace and embellishments.

Summer starfruit meets man

A super simple card for a male. I am loving the new pop tops from the seasonal. Great when squished in the big shot.

Amazing friend

The chalkboard technique is huge at the moment. And I can see why. Its fun to do, is easy and creates a really interesting result. It's as easy as embossing an image in white embossing powder on black cardstock, then rubbing over it with some white ink and finishing off with some hand drawn lines in a pastel chalk like colour.
I have mounted mine on primrose petals cord'inations card stock and some tea for two dsp. The stamp set is the Amazing Family from the seasonal mini.

Happy Birthday Dad

One of my favourite Sale-a-bration sets is Feeling Sentimental. I just love the beautiful hand drawn images and the lovely sentiment. I have used the phone box image here, for a card for my dad, whose birthday is today.
The Father stamp is from Amazing Family, a set from the seasonal catalogue.

Remember Sale-a-bration finishes in a few days, and then Feeling Sentimental will no longer be available.

Vintage sweet threads

The Sweet Threads simply sent kits are just fabulous. Everything you need to make quick cards is included in the kit, even the envelopes! I vintagified (I made that word up) it with some sponging,stamping and sanding.

Easter Blessings

With Easter only two weeks away its definitely time to send out a few cards. I made this one using the new Easter Blessings stamp in the seasonal catalogue and used my free Sycamore Paper as the colour inspiration.
Sale-a-bration is only on for a another week, and finishes on Friday the 22nd. So sad, I love getting a free gift with every order I place at the moment.
