Christmas Ornament

No prizes as to where the inspiration came from for this. It was surprisingly easy to make, but does take a while with all the stamping, cutting and folding.

Not quite right

There is something about this card, that's not quite right...a bit heavy on the colour maybe...oh well. I used raspberry ripple, primrose petal, gumball green and vanilla, with a little champagne glitter paper.

It's a simple card using the holiday stocking die and embellished with a big bow in the gumball green stitched ribbon.

Xmas gifts class

There is no prize for guessing where I cased this. Yep, the holiday catalogue front cover. I just changed it slightly to make it achievable in the class. These are lots of fun to make, you'll want to make dozens.

This calendar uses the new Desktop Display Calendar Case. One of these will be included in the class, so you'll go home with a completed gift, for someone special, or maybe just yourself!

Introducing the Holiday Stocking Die

I was really surprised to see just how large these stockings are. Pleasantly surprised that is. The die just makes these incredibly easy to make and I think they are really cute. I have used Be of Good Cheer DSP here and my favourite seam binding.

Christmas mix class, Saturday 22nd and Wednesday 26th

This class is continuing with the christmas theme. It will be here before you know it...and I’m determined to be prepared!

The first card is called a telescopic card. It usually uses circles (it makes more sense with a name like that), but I wanted to try something different, and tried squares. I’m using my new stamp set called No Peeking.

And this is it when opened up. My kids loved this one. I love that its a bit different from the norm, but still easy to construct.

I love using razzlebury for xmas cards. I think its such an elegant colour, and combined with that beautiful ornament..yum!

Next up is a simple card using ribbon for colour and texture. The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Many Merry Messages. I just adore it. I was really lacking in great christmas words, and this fills the gap perfectly.

And lastly a candy wrapper box for a small present. My son looked at this sample and told me he didn't like it. I thought he might not have liked the colours, but when I asked him, he said he didn't like the fact that you couldnt open it till christmas. Kids!

Recycling

Yep, this is a recycled box. It is actually a box that the watercolour crayons from Stampin' Up! come in. I just added some DSP and a handmade flower, and I don't think anyone would ever know. The new doily die added just the finishing touch I was looking for.

Inside I shredded the brown packing paper my orders come with. If you ever need any, just ask!
I have just finished the class samples, but as its late (12.30am) I will endeavour to post them tomorrow.

Introducing Paper Doily Sizzlits

Have you noticed this new die on page 191 of the Annual Catalogue? It creates these amazingly intricate paper shapes, that are so versatile. I love them. I have teamed it up on this card with another amazing shape, cut from the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I think this shape will got alot of use from me.

Faux crocodile purse

Are you sick of purses yet?
This is the one we made at a recent class. It is embellished with a faux crocodile flap and includes little feet on the bottom. A girls got to protect the bottom of her bag you know. This one was a partial case from Lynda. You must go and check out her creations. She really puts some time and effort into her beautiful bags.

For the girls

I can just see these at a little girls birthday party filled with some sweets. And the best thing is, they don't cost much to make. Just half an A4 sheet of paper and some gem stones. Easy peasy!

I always love a die when it proves to very versatile, and the petite purse die is definitely that. Here I have made one sophisticated black bag, and another that would make a fabulous wedding favour.

I have used Stampin" Up's white shimmer paper which gives a soft beautiful finish. Can't you just see these on a bridal table?

This bag is actually a case from the talented Patty Bennett, a US demo. It has a diagonal score pattern on it, which is not really visible in the photograph.

This bag is constructed with cardboard covered in fabric, and then cut with the die. I have a bit of an obsession with fabric at the moment. I just love the feel of it, in a use that is not always expected.
