Lots of vellum class and free catalogue - Wednesday 2 April

Hi everyone, hope you had a lovely Easter and some time to do a little scrapbooking or cardmaking.
In Wednesdays class this week, we will be using lots of vellum cardstock to complete three cards. This is a material not used nearly enough as the results you can achieve are amazing.
The first card has vellum flowers and a vellum base. It looks very elegant, and depending on the sentiment used can be suitable for lots of occasions - wedding, enegagement, birthdays and sympathy.

The second card uses vellum as a mat, (a terrific use for this is in scrapbooking). The card is inspired by one I saw on Rachel Capps blog and just loved the use of the blossom.

The third card we will complete has colored, embossed flowers, a technique that is simple and quick and always looks teriffic.
All the cards above are suitable for beginners as well as those more advanced, so don't be afraid to give it a go.

Waterfall Card Class - March 19th - 10am

Waterfall cards (or sometimes called flipper cards) have been around for a while, but are great fun to make and play with. So I thought it would be nice to make one next week using the beautiful Enchante papers from Stampin Up which are only available to the end of March. It was hard to photograph this card, but you pull the tab at the end and the pages flip over, really cool! This make a great card for someone special or you can stick it on a scrapbook page and fill with photos to make an interactive element on a page. It's surprisingly easy so you will have no trouble making lots more of these at home. Hope you can make it.

Wedding Card

This is a wedding card I managed to finish on the weekend. It's a simple card using shimmer papers to give it some extra punch.

More chocolate

In this months class we are keeping with the easter theme and making a folder, four cards, matching envelopes, and two mini cards in chocolate coloured papers. This would make a beautiful gift for those not so fond of the sweet stuff. In this class you will need your trimmers and a scoring blade if you have one. Class cost is $20 and includes all materials, but bookings are essential. All welcome.

Easter class - March 3

I am going to run the Easter class again on Monday 3 March if anyone is interested. In this class you will complete a card, an easter basket, and 2 tags. It makes a great gift and I'm sure you will enjoy creating it. Let me know your colour preference if you would like to attend.

Feb 20 - Getting ready for Easter

With Easter only a few short weeks away this class incorporates lots of gift ideas for the family. We'll make an Easter basket, card, 2 tags and decorate a few chocolates to fit in with the hand made feel. It includes lots of stamping, glitter, ribbon and punches, yet is easy enough for you to go home and make a few more. You can make this collection in either pink or teal, just let me know your preference when booking. Hope you like it.

Next class is Feb 6th at 10am

Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful holiday, and are feeling refreshed for the new year.
The next class is a mini book/card suitable for a male or female. (It would even make a great Valentines Day gift.) It is constructed from chipboard, so may cost extra to post, but would be great if you included photos in it as it would make a mini scrapbook. It is going to include lots of heat embossing, using clear, black and copper embossing power (and some embossing using adhesive!). We will also be applying copper ink with a sponge which I always find lots of fun. You will have a choice of greeting and the book can be constructed with either the sage green card (pictured) or pale blue. Just let me know your preference when booking. For those still a liitle unsure about embossing you'll definitely be a pro after this.

Lisa's birthday Card

I made this card for my sister, and was amazed how quickly I was able to produce it using the fantastic heat and stick powder from Stampin' Up! I also used faux stitching using the mat pack. I love the look of stitching but am way too lazy to do it for real, and I think this effect is just as good.

Wednesday December 5th class

The wine glass charms in this cute folder will make a terrific gift for neighours, teachers, friends or that hard-to-buy-for person. They can be used equally well on coffee cups so they don't have to be a wine lover to enjoy this gift. In this class you will assemble the charms, make the folder and do lots of embossing using glitter embossing powder, versamark stamp pad and embossing pens. You will also use my all time favourite product, beautiful shimmer chalks. I have lots of different papers to choose from for this class, so you'll be sure to find a colour combo that suits you.

Next class Nov 5 - 10am

Wednesday Nov 5's class is going to involve making a beautiful gift pack of wine glass charms. I often make these for the markets and they always sell really quickly so I know everyone loves them. Hope to have the pic up early this week, so stay tuned.

Card Book Class Nov 21 - 10am

This is the sample for the class Nov 21- 10am. It is a card book, and for those of you not sure what that is, it is a place to record all important occasions, then when you make (or buy) a card you can keep it in the pocket until the time to send it. It is also provides a great place to keep receipts from bought gifts, just in case. I think it would make a beautiful gift for someone if you can part with it of course. In this project you will get to use the punch to make the scallop border piece and will get a chance to do some faux stitching, as well as some stamping with gold ink and using gold paint.
